Interim Chief of Staff Announcement

We are pleased to announce that Dr. Elaine Innes has been appointed Interim Chief of Staff for the Weeneebayko Area Health Authority effective immediately.

Dr. Innes is from Moose Factory and began her career at Weeneebayko General Hospital as a registered nurse, and then advanced to the role of nurse practitioner. Most recently, as a Physician, Dr. Innes has provided strong front-line experience, knowledge of the region and its unique health needs, and has dedicated her career to helping her people.

We welcome Dr. Innes and thank her for taking on this new challenge. We are all very excited to be working with her in this new role.

With this announcement, we also want to thank Dr. Gordon Green for his dedication and commitment to the organization for over five years. Dr. Green has been a leader during a period
of great transition, and has never wavered in his commitment to the Mushkegowuk region.

Over the next few weeks, Dr. Green will be assisting Dr. Innes with her transition to the role of Chief of Staff. We wish Dr. Green a wonderful retirement and thank him for his continued support.

With Dr. Innes in her new role, we are now in a position to move forward together. Our new team is committed to continuing providing quality healthcare as close to home as possible.
