To all Physicians and Allied Health Professionals:

We welcome you to the Mushkegowuk Aski (Land/Territory). As many are aware, our region is currently experiencing a health crisis. A shortage of Physicians, as well as other Allied Health professionals, has left our people in need.

With every challenge comes opportunity, and we are excited to work with the new leadership team at the Weeneebayko Area Health Authority. The organization is currently undergoing transformational change. Proactive steps are being taken to bring new services to our region and hospital to meet the needs of our own people and we encourage you to consider our Mushkegowuk Aski (Land/Territory) to develop your career and raise your family.

Discussions with the Board and the new management team at WAHA lead me to believe that our organizations can work together to fulfil WAHA’s mission to provide quality health care to our people as close to home as possible.

If you are interested in a career in health, have a desire to immerse yourself in the Cree culture, and want to join a team that is currently undergoing transformation, we welcome you to our home.
