Homegrown talent named Chief of Staff

Weeneebayko Area Health Authority’s (WAHA) Board of Directors is pleased to announce that Dr. Elaine Innes has been named Chief of Staff after a nine-month search.

Born and raised in Moose Factory, Dr. Innes began her clinical career with WAHA as a registered nurse and then as a nurse practitioner before attending medical school. A graduate of the Northern Ontario School of Medicine, Dr. Innes completed her post-graduate residency in Family Medicine in 2015.

Dr. Innes has over 30 years of clinical experience and is known for her sound judgement, perseverance and her guiding leadership style.

As Chief of Staff, Dr. Innes is responsible for overseeing the hiring and management of all full-time and locum physicians and dentists working for WAHA and ensuring all medical staff provide our patients with the highest quality patient- and family-centred care.
