COVID-19 Community Update: Visitor Access Restricted & Non-Urgent Medical Appointments Cancelled

As of 2:30 p.m. today (March 13, 2020) we have implemented a no visitors rule in our inpatient units/rooms unless directly involved in patient care, i.e. family caregivers, at all of our sites.

As well, all non-urgent medical appointments south of Moosonee and Moose Factory are being cancelled/postponed effective immediately.

Medically necessary appointments 

Appointments will be kept that are medically necessary, a decision being made on a case-by-case basis by the referring physician and specialist. If your appointment is canceled you will be notified and plans will be made to reschedule at a later date.

Appointments within our region

Appointments within our region will continue, as long as the specialists continue to come.

Physician and dental visits will continue as scheduled unless communities decide to cancel.

All other non-essential travel is cancelled.
