WAHA Medical Transportation Introduces Peawanuck Charter Service

It can be challenging for many First Nations Individuals living in remote fly-in Communities to access necessary medical care. WAHA Medical Transportation Services is diligently working to improve quality service and continues to look for ways to ensure our patients can attend their medical appointment(s) as seamlessly as possible.

WAHA Medical Transportation Services will be adding a Peawanuck Charter that will operate on Mondays and Fridays beginning February 2, 2024.

Monday and Friday Charter

When a patient is unable to attend their appointment(s), the patient must contact WAHA Medical Transportation 24 hours before their travel date. This will ensure we meet the needs of all patients’ travel and decrease the no-show rate.

The same should be applied to all medical transportation travel.

This is a necessary added service for the community of Peawanuck.
