Weeneebayko Area Hospital Authority’s (WAHA) Board of Directors and President and CEO are pleased to announce that Lynne Innes has accepted the position of Vice President, Clinical Services and Chief Nursing Executive (CNE).
Ms. Innes, a Nurse Practitioner, has been the interim Vice President, Clinical Services and CNE since July 2018 and has been with WAHA since 2011.
A member of Moose Cree First Nation, Lynne is committed to serving the people of the James and Hudson Bay coast to ensure everyone is receiving high-quality health care as close to home as possible. In her new role, Lynne will provide leadership and guidance to WAHA’s In-Patient, Operating Room and Family Medicine departments and Laboratory and Diagnostic services.
Ms. Innes was selected by the College of Nurses of Ontario in 2004 to become a Nurse Practitioner Examiner. In this role she ensures that other nurse practitioners meet provincial standards in the care they provide. She was also appointed one of 10 health-care leaders from across Canada by the Canadian Nurses Association to develop the new National Nurse Practitioner Licensing Exam and test bank in 2017.
