Exciting news resounds throughout the Moose Cree territory, also known as the traditional lands of the Cree people in the James and Hudson Bay Region. As the Weeneebayko Area Health Authority continuously provides healthcare to its First Nations communities, we are proud to see healthcare infrastructure expand be close to home as possible.
Both new installed hospital signs in Cree syllabics mean “Weeneebayko Area Health Authority”, “Your Tax Dollars at Work” and “Building Ontario Together”. In Moose Factory, the sign reads “New Moose Factory Health Centre”, while in Moosonee, it reads ““New Regional Health Campus”.
