Update: Attawapiskat Hospital Re-Opened

Our Attawapiskat Hospital re-opened at 2 pm today, Friday, February 22, 2019.

EMERGENCY SERVICES are now open and available 24 hours a day at the hospital. If you need emergency care go to the hospital or call an ambulance at 705-997-1111.

We are currently working on moving patients who were transferred out to Fort Albany Hospital and Weeneebayko General Hospital in Moose Factory back to the Attawapiskat Hospital.

Thank you to all of our staff across Weeneebayko Area Health Authority (WAHA), the Attawapiskat Health Centre, and the community members, fire fighters, police officers and leadership from Attawapiskat First Nation’s Band Council for all of your help and support.
